Overview
Andalé (pronounced on’ duh lay) is a powerful
data logging system which directly controls a SCSI RAID array to
support gap-free storage and playback of analog and digital signals
acquired using the
ChicoPlus or
CompactChicoPlus cards, at rates up to 40 MB/s on 32-bit PCI
systems, or
Matador Series DSP Boards at rates up to
80 MB/s on 64-bit PCI systems.
The standard system ships with two 70GB
drives, capable of 20 MB/s each, scalable to four drives per SCSI
controller. Turnkey logging & playback software is provided for
ChicoPlus boards and all OMNIBUS
modules. This logging software moves data from the baseboard and I/O
peripherals to/from the dedicated SCSI RAID array with minimal
intervention from Windows.
A logging software component is also
supplied to facilitate development of custom applications for
ChicoPlus and Matador boards. A multitude of analog/digital I/O
interfaces are available for ChicoPlus boards through a wide array
of OMNIBUS modules and on-board
digital I/O.
