Overview
The TX VelociaPMC transmitter card features the most advanced
architecture for ultra-fast signal generation and real-time
processing in wide band radio systems and similar wide spectrum
applications. It integrates the latest analog circuit chips with a
large FPGA for user-code, ample memory and flexible clocks/triggers
on a PMC/XMC mezzanine format. Novel features include a combination
of 4 channels of 1GSPS DAC's, dual 64MB memory buffers for high
speed waveform generation and playback. The PMC interface operates
as 64 bit/66MHz for system connectivity. Additionally the XMC
supports 800MB/s to the host and the PMC J4 supports up to 350MB/s
for real-time, low latency private data links to Innovative
Integration VelociaDSP cards and other host cards.
Developing signal processing in the FPGA is supported using
either MATLAB or with the FrameWork Logic in VHDL. This allows
developers to quickly go from MATLAB to hardware and build on the
FrameWork logic system features for hardware control and
interfacing.
Full Software support is available for Windows so you can fit
this module to a PCI to PMC extender card and use in a Desktop PC or
fit direct to a PMC site on a Single Board Computer. The board
includes its own PLL for generating a clock, but to get even more
frequency resolution and less phase noise, consider the
Clock Generator PMC Module. |
