Electronic Warfare
Many of our products are suitable for use in Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. These systems are usually active and so use both analogue to digital converters and digital to analogue converters for transmit.
An Electronic Warfare system signal path usually includes:
- An RF to IF stage with an agile local oscillator
- Analogue to Digital conversion at either IF or baseband
- FPGA for Downconversion, demodulation and signal recognition
- FPGA for signal modification, modulation and up conversion
- Digital to Analogue conversion at either IF or baseband
- IF to RF stage
The Innovative Integration product range includes the necessary COTS hardware from the A/D to FPGA(s) to D/A. There are also digital transceiver systems available that use the same hardware but include customisable firmware and software for digital receivers.
The current product range includes both Xilinx Kintex-7 based and Virtex-6 based platforms.
