XMC FPGA High Speed Digitizer Modules

The range includes High Speed Digitizers with Analog to Digital Converters and Digital to Analog Converters. XMC form-factor is a PMC (150x75mm) with high-speed serial fabric interconnect defined by the VITA 42 standard. This allows for 1 to 8 lanes of PCIe across a rectangular connector with power and other signals. The second rectangular connector can also provide digital and serial IO connections typically between the FPGA on the XMC and external components.

The range includes different families of Xilinx FPGA, the Artix-7, Virtex-6 & Kintex Ultrascale.

All boards have a PLL to generate a sample clock from an onboard or external reference. Trigger can be external or software. The XMC boards can be fitted on a range of adapters to be used in desktop PC’s, compact PCI racks, VPX or external standalone boxes.

FMC High Speed Digitizer Modules

The range includes High Speed Digitizers with Analog to Digital Converters and Digital to Analog Converters plus some Gigabit serial and <1MSPS parts. FMC Modules are a popular way of providing a range of analogue I/O modules that can be plugged into a FPGA baseboard. The FMC connector has 400 pins and provides upto 160 digital I/O for control and data and upto 10 serial transceivers.

FMC Carriers have a FPGA and either a PCIe interface to another host, eg PEX7-COP, or a built in host, eg ePC-K7, mini-K7.
